This section is about all the situations which are excluded from this policy offer. Some of the claims which you are not covered for are as follows:

  • Any case arising from pre-existing medical conditions which were not disclosed before the commencement of policy.
  • Cases like abortion or miscarriage are not covered, unless there is an immediate threat to the mother’s life.
  • Cases arising due to the consumption or use of alcohol, drugs and other such illegal activities.
  • Treatment for any psychiatric or psychological conditions.
  • Incidents arising due to participation in sporting activities or willing exposure to dangerous situations.
  • For injuries occurring because of acts of war, terror or riots.

Eligibility Criteria

You need to meet some conditions in order to be able to get covered under this insurance policy. The eligibility criteria are as follows:


  • You should be a Singapore citizen, PR or a foreigner with a valid employment pass.
  • You must be between 18 and 65 years of age at the time of application.


  • For a legal spouse, they have to be below the age of 65 years.
  • Your children must be between 31 days and 21 years of age.

How to Make a Claim

  • You can go for the direct billing services, in which FWD will directly settle the claim with your doctor or hospital.
  • You can also pay the hospital, and file a claim for reimbursing the amount. You can make a claim from the claims portal on the website.

Documents Required to Make a Claim

You need to provide certain documents while submitting the claims form.

If you want to make a medical claim, you will have to inform the provider within 90 days of the treatment. For accidental death and disability, you will have to file a claim within 30 days of the incident.

You need the following documents to make a claim:

  • Medical report and bills, in English translation if required.
  • Your claim should be pre-authorised. You can do this by calling on hotline number.
  • Police reports.

How to Cancel This Insurance

If you are not satisfied with the policy, you can cancel the insurance within 14 days of the commencement date, by contacting FWD. If you have chosen to cancel your annual plan and there are no claims made in the time period, you are entitled to get a refund of the premium paid. An administrative fee will be deducted to make up for the charges of underwriting the policy document.
