If you think that you do not require comprehensive coverage for your car, you can opt for FWD’s third party/third party, fire and theft plans. This plan is not only affordable, but also customisable. This plan also includes round-the-clock roadside assistance.

There are a few exclusions under the classic comprehensive plan for which you are not likely to get any coverage. These exclusions are:
- Courtesy car when your car gets damaged
- Replacement of lost keys
- Damage to personal belongings
How to make a claim
If your car is damaged in an accident and you want to make a claim under this policy, you can drive to your nearest FWD premium workshop. If your car is not in a condition to be driven, get in touch with a workshop, and they will send people to tow the car.

Injury to you or any passenger
Under this policy, you can lodge your claim for medical expenses and personal accident by logging in to FWD Customer Portal if you are making a claim for your driver or passenger or for yourself.
Claims against you by a third party
If you are notified by a third party, immediately inform the company or send them the letter or documents you got from the third party. The rest will be handled by the insurer. If FWD gets a notification from a third party, they will keep you informed at every phase of the process until the claim is settled.
FWD car insurance renewal
On the last day of your policy due date, you will have to renew the plan by logging in to the company’s website and entering the relevant details. At the time of renewal, you will get a discount on the insurance premium of up to 50% in case you have a history of making no claims.

How to cancel FWD car insurance?
You can cancel your policy at any time by giving the insurer a written notice of seven days. FWD will refund 95% of the premium for the remaining active period of the term. However, the company will not give you the refund if the amount is less than S$25. You will have to pay the remaining amount owed within two weeks of cancellation. The insurer can reduce the premium refund due or charge interest if sum owed is not paid back.
