    Insurance Provided By The Card:

    UOB PRVI Miles Platinum American Express Card offers personal accident while in a public vehicle and travel inconvenience insurance coverage of up to S$1 million for both the cardholder and their spouse. The compensation details are as given below:

    Accidental death, loss of one or more limbs, blindness in both eyes, and Permanent Total Disablement from gainful employment of all kinds while using a public transport during your travel S$1 million

    Instalment Payment Plans:

    Through UOB SmartPay, you can convert your credit card payments into low-interest monthly instalments for periods of 3, 6 or 12 months. You also get an interest-free grace period of over 30 days before paying the first instalment. The minimum spend to qualify for this is S$500, and SmartPay can be applied only to a maximum of 5 payments per month. There will be a one-time processing fee of 3% of the amount for 3 and 6 month plans, and 5% for the 1-year plan. The effective interest rate is 18.18%, 10.43% and 9.5% for the 3-month, 6-month and 12-month plans respectively. However, using the SmartPay option will not give you any reward points.

    Overseas Transactions And Payments In Foreign Currencies:

    Foreign currency factor of 3.25% will be charged on transactions in foreign currencies with the UOB PRVI Miles Platinum American Express Card, of which 1.25% will be retained by American Express. There is no extra fee for transactions made in Singapore dollar overseas.

    Cash Withdrawals:

    You can withdraw cash from your credit card in case of emergency from any UOB ATM in Singapore or UOB/Cirrus/PLUS ATMs overseas, or from UOB bank branches. You can also transfer money online from your credit card to any bank account through internet banking. The minimum withdrawable amount is S$200 and the maximum you can withdraw is 75% of your credit limit or available credit limit, whichever is lower.

    You can either go to the UOB website or to one of the bank’s branches with the required documents. On the website, you can select the card, fill in your personal and contact information, income details, and upload the relevant documents. The bank will contact you and complete the application and approval process.

    Eligibility Criteria For UOB PRVI Miles Platinum American Express Card:

    • Minimum age: 21 years
    • Minimum income: S$80,000, OR a Fixed Deposit of S$30,000 or more with UOB

    The minimum payment to be made per month is 3% of current balance or S$50, whichever is higher. If you are unable to pay the bill by its due date, you will be charged a late payment fee of S$60. There are multiple ways to repay your credit card bill:

    1. At UOB ATMs, with your UOB savings/current account or with accounts in other banks such as DBS, POSB and OCBC.
    2. Through recurring InterBank GIRO transfer from any account by filling in the GIRO request form.
    3. Via phone-banking, by calling 1800-2222-121 any time of the day
    4. Through internet banking from your UOB account
    5. At SingPost SAM Machines
    6. At AXS Stations
    7. At iNETS kiosks
    8. By cash at cash deposit machines or at bank branches
    9. By cheque, payable to UOB Credit Card and mentioning your card number on the reverse of the cheque leaf. It can be dropped in at cheque deposit machines or mailed to UOB Cards and Payments, Robinson Road, PO Box No. 1688, Singapore 903338.

    Reporting Lost/Stolen Credit Cards:

    If you have lost or misplaced your credit card, or it has been stolen, you are liable to pay the bank a maximum of S$100, as per guidelines from the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS). This is applicable only if the following steps are taken:

    • Inform UOB immediately upon finding that your card is missing. They will block your card to prevent further transactions on the card.
    • If it has been stolen, inform the bank and report the theft to the police.
    • You should be blameless for the loss and not acting with guile, negligence and fraudulent intentions.

    If you fail to inform the bank about the loss/theft of card, you will be liable to pay for the fraudulent purchases made using your card by someone else. UOB urges customers to take all due care with the credit card, including not disclosing the PIN to anyone or writing it down, using secure online transactions, etc.
