    Complimentary Insurance Coverage

    Travel Insurance

    The complimentary travel insurance on this card offers coverage of up to S$1 million in case of death or permanent disability from an accident in a public transport. This insurance policy is underwritten by AXA Singapore.

    To be eligible for this insurance policy, you must charge the entire ticket fare to your Citi PremierMiles Visa Card. This policy is applicable on your round trip. The table below shows the maximum coverage of the travel insurance for you and your spouse:

    Who All Will Be Covered by the Insurance?

    The travel insurance policy covers you, your legal spouse, and your children. To extend the coverage to your children, they must fulfil certain criteria, which are as follows:

    • Must be unmarried and dependent on you.
    • Should be below 18 years old; or
    • Up to 25 years if enrolled or still studying full-time or awaiting enrolment as a full time student in a recognised tertiary institution.

    Travel inconvenience benefits including baggage loss/delay, flight delay, trip cancellation/interruption, etc. are only applicable to the cardmember.

    Activating the Card for Overseas Expenses

    Yes, you need to activate your credit card when you travel overseas. If you select the card activation feature on your credit card application form, then you will get your new card with the activation. The card remains deactivated for your safety. It prevents the card from being used for any unauthorised transactions. The bank will only disable your credit card for ATM withdrawals and POS magnetic stripe transactions.

    You can activate or deactivate your card for overseas use in the following manner:

    Instalment Payment Plans Available

    Citi offers two types of instalment payment plans, which are:

    Equal Payment Plan

    Split your big-ticket purchases into affordable and flexible instalments at 0% interest. This plan is accepted at over 1,000 participating merchant outlets. You can spread your payments over 24 months without any processing fee or additional charges.

    All you have to do is ask for this plan at the outlet and charge the transaction to your credit card. Please know that you will not earn any reward points or rebates when you pay through the Equal Payment Plan.


    Spend a minimum of S$500 or more at a participating merchant outlet and pay the entire amount in instalments with Paywise. This plan offers 0% interest on your instalments and you can repay the amount over a tenure of 6 months. However, you have to pay an upfront service fee of 5% and the plan has an EIR of 25.18% p.a.

    How Much Cash Can I Withdraw?

    If you need urgent cash but do not have enough time to take a personal line of credit or a personal loan, you can withdraw cash from your credit card. The amount of cash you are allowed to withdraw depends on your approved credit limit. The bank charges an interest rate of 26.9% p.a., applicable the moment you withdraw the money. In addition, you will also have to pay an advance fee of S$15 or 6% of the withdrawn amount, whichever is more.

    You can withdraw up to 100% of your credit limit using your Citi PremierMiles Visa Card from more than 500,000 Visa Plus ATMs across the world. Cash advance should be your last resort except in an emergency situation.

    Eligibility Criteria

    Apart from the usual eligibility criteria the Citi PremierMiles Visa Card requires a minimum annual of S$30,000 for Singaporeans and S$42,000 for permanent residents and foreigners.

    Lost/Stolen Cards

    In case you lose your credit card or it gets stolen and you find out that the card has been used for illegal purposes, you must notify Citi immediately by calling on the 24/7 hotline. If the bank is convinced that the loss of your card is not due to your negligence or you have not acted fraudulently, then your liability on unauthorised transactions is limited to S$100.

    What Else Do I Need to Know?

    Enable/Disable Auto Debit Through Direct Debit Authorisation Form

    To enable the auto debit feature on your card, you must download the Direct Debit Authorisation form, fill in the details, and send it to the bank. Citi will debit the set amount 3 working days before the due date. To terminate this feature, you must write to the bank one month in advance.

    The minimum amount you need to pay on this credit card is calculated on the basis of 1% of the current balance, 1% of any remaining unbilled instalment amount, interest charges, late payment fee, and any unpaid amount, or S$50, whichever is higher. If your current balance is below S$50, then that amount will be considered as your minimum payment amount.

    Grace Period of 25 Days

    Billing Cycle and Bill Due Date Can be Found in Credit Card Bill

    You will get your credit card bill once every month. The billing cycle starts from your card approval date. The monthly statement will mention the date by which you need to pay the bill amount. Make sure you pay at least the minimum amount, the entire bill amount or a part of it by the set due date, failing which you will incur late payment charges. The billing cycle is a 30-day period.

    Get a Replacement Card via Phone Banking/Citibank Online/Citi Mobile

    In case your card is lost or stolen and you need a replacement card urgently, you can report it via the Citi Mobile App. Simply download the app and log in with your username and password. Once you have made a request, the credit card will be blocked permanently. The replacement card with the PIN will be sent to your registered address.

    You can also make a request for a replacement card through Phone Banking and Citibank Online. Just follow the instructions once you log in. if you do not have a Citibank Online account, you can call the bank on their 24/7 CitiPhone Banking hotline.

    Temporarily Increase the Limit of the Card via Phone Banking

    You can request for a temporary increase in your credit limit through the Phone Banking service of the bank.

    Follow the steps below to request for a permanent increase in your credit limit:

    • Download the Credit Limit Increase form and fill up the details.
    • Attach the relevant income documents with the form.
    • Mail all the documents to the bank using the business envelope.
