The Citi PremierMiles Visa Card is a travel credit card that offers Citi Miles on your purchases. You will earn up to 7 Citi Miles per S$1 that you spend on your online travel bookings. For every S$1 that you spend overseas in a foreign currency, you will earn 2 Citi Miles. For every S$1 that you spend locally, you will earn 1.2 Citi Miles. Additionally, you will earn 10,000 Citi Miles when you renew your membership. Your Citi Miles do not expire on this card.
You can accumulate and redeem your Citi Miles through the participating Frequent Flyer Programmes as well as Hotel Loyalty Programmes. Additionally, you also have the option to redeem your Citi Miles for cash rebate or offset your purchases immediately at participating merchants across the world.
The Citi PremierMiles Visa Card comes with travel privileges including a Personalised Priority Pass Membership Card that offers complimentary access to numerous airport lounges. It also offers complimentary travel accident insurance, medical assistance programme and travel inconvenience cover. As this is a Visa credit card, you will have access to the “Visa Luxury Hotel Collection” and Visa privileges throughout the year.

You are eligible for a travel insurance coverage of up to S$1 million if you pay for your travel expenses using your Citi PremierMiles Visa Card. The protections available are extensive, as mentioned in the table given below:

Citi allows its credit card customers to convert their large purchases into instalments spread out over up to 2 years under the 0% Equal Payment Plan (EPP). This is available at more than 1,000 selected merchants. Though it is a zero-interest plan, EPP transactions will attract interest charges if you are unable to pay the amount on time every month. However, converting your payments into EPP will not allow you to earn Citi Miles or get any cash rebates or reward points.

There is a penal interest of 3% for both credit card purchases and cash advance in case you are unable to make the payments by due date. In case of regular good behaviour on your credit card management, the bank may offer you promotional interest rate of 20.9% p.a. on both retail transactions and cash advances.

There are times when you are in dire need of cash, and Citi understands this. To help you cope with urgent money requirements, the bank allows you to withdraw cash from your credit card at short notice without any further approvals or applications. You can withdraw cash from any Citi ATM or from Visa’s global network of over 500,000 ATMs. The amount withdrawn can be up to 100% of your credit limit, depending on your available credit limit.
If you have the patience to wait for a term loan, you can apply for Citi Quick Cash Instalment Loan that can be obtained by visiting one of the Citi branches, calling (+65) 6238 8888, or applying for the loan online through the Citi website. The loan will be approved within an hour if you are able to provide the documents required correctly. You can collect the loan either in cash from your branch, or get it credited into your bank account. The effective interest rate is between 9% p.a. and 12.25% p.a., with both preferential interest rate plans and normal interest rate plans. You can repay the loan in 1 to 5 years.
