This is applicable at around 1,000 merchants. However, using the EPP may not allow you to earn cash back, so use it only for large purchases that you may not be able to pay in full at the time of billing.

Almost everywhere in Singapore, the card technology in use is the EMV Chip. This is a more secure way of using the card because your details are shared with the merchant and verified in an encrypted form. However, in many other countries, the older magnetic stripe technology is still used.
Your Citi Cash Back Visa Credit Card has the magnetic strip, but for safety, it remains in a deactivated state unless you choose to activate it. If you are going outside Singapore and want to use the Citi Cash Back Visa Card there, then you will have to activate the magnetic strip on your card first. This can be done by calling the Citi Customer Care Hotline or through internet banking, self-service phone banking, SMS or the Citi Mobile app.
Purchases done in currencies other than Singapore dollars have to be converted at the day’s exchange rate before the payment is confirmed. Usually, US dollar (USD) transactions are converted directly to Singapore dollars (SGD), but any other currency is first converted into USD and then into SGD. With this Visa credit card, Australian dollar (AUD) is converted into SGD directly.
If you are in a situation where you need money urgently but don’t have time to go for a personal loan or line of credit, then you can resort to withdrawing money from your credit card. The amount of money you can withdraw will depend on your available credit limit. The interest rate on cash withdrawals is 26.9% p.a. which will be applicable from the day you withdraw the money. You will also have to pay a cash advance fee of 6% (minimum S$15) of the amount you withdraw. It is advisable to not go for cash withdrawals except in dire situations.
You can apply for the Citi Cash Back Visa Card conveniently on Bankbazaar.sg by providing us with your personal, contact and financial details.
Citi charges an interest of 26.9% p.a. on card transactions and 26.9% p.a. on cash withdrawals. The minimum interest rate chargeable is S$3 per statement month. If your account is in good standing, you may be offered a promotional interest rate of 20.9% p.a. on retail transactions and cash advances.
An additional penal interest of 3% will be added to the existing interest of 26.9% p.a. (totalling to 29.9% p.a.). This will be charged for both credit card bills and cash advances in case of more than 1 month of late payment. The interest will revert to normal rates if there is not more than one late payment in the last 6 months.
The minimum payment to be made every month for the Citi Cash Back Visa Credit Card is the total of 1% of the current balance, 1% of any outstanding unbilled instalment amounts, interest charges (including interest/service charges for any recurring/instalment payments) and late payment charge or S$50 – whichever of these is higher.
If the balance due is less than S$50 then the minimum payment will be the balance due. If you delay your payment, a late payment fee of S$100 has to be paid. You get a grace period of 25 days from the date of the statement of account to make your bill payment.
If your credit card is lost or stolen, you should immediately notify Citibank. Your liability for unauthorized transactions on your card is capped at $100 only if Citibank is satisfied that you have (i) not been negligent, (ii) not acted fraudulently and (iii) immediately notified Citibank about the loss/theft.
