    Let Us Illustrate:

Let’s assume that your card is approved after online application before 30 June 2018, and you have achieved the minimum spend criteria for earning free miles. Then you will get the following:

    • 7,000 KrisFlyer miles for the first spend.
    • 7,500 KrisFlyer miles for a minimum spend of S$2,500 in the first 3 months.
    • 2,750 KrisFlyer miles at the rate of 1.1 miles per S$1 (as per the miles programme).

In total, you will earn 17,250 KrisFlyer miles as joining benefit.

Consider that, you have spent another S$15,000 locally in the first calendar year of your card. That will give you 16,500 KrisFlyer miles (S$15,000 x 1.1). Let us say you went to Johor Bahru in June and spent S$2,500 there in Malaysian Ringgit. With that you’ve earned 5,000 miles. Hence, by the calendar year end, you have:

    • 17,250 miles + 16,500 miles + 5,000 miles = 38,750 KrisFlyer miles.

You can redeem these KrisFlyer miles for flight tickets from participating airlines. The table below shows how the redemption works:

      Singapore Airlines SilkAir
One-way ticket to India (Economy) 37,000 KrisFlyer miles 37,000 KrisFlyer miles
