    Interest Rates on UOB Fuel Credit Cards

    The interest rate charged on UOB credit cards is 25.9% p.a. with a minimum charge of S$3 per month. This interest rate is applicable if you do not pay the full outstanding balance on your credit card statements. The interest rate will be calculated every day starting from the transaction date and until all the unpaid balances have been fully repaid.

    The interest-free period on your purchases is up to 21 days from your statement date and is applicable only if you pay your outstanding balances in full.

    Eligibility criteria for UOB Fuel Credit Cards

    • Nationality criterion - Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and foreigners can apply for UOB fuel credit cards.
    • Minimum age: 21 years.
    • Income criteria:
      • UOB Visa Signature Card - Minimum income of S$50,000 per year or a minimum fixed deposit collateral of S$20,000.
      • UOB One Card - Minimum income of S$30,000 per year for Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents and S$45,000 per year for foreigners OR a minimum fixed deposit collateral of S$10,000.
      • UOB UnionPay Card - Minimum income of S$30,000 per year for Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents and S$40,000 per year for foreigners OR a minimum fixed deposit collateral of S$10,000.

    Documents Required for UOB Fuel Credit Cards

    Salaried employees, commission-based employees, self-employed and foreigners must submit certain documents to be eligible to apply for UOB fuel credit cards:

    • Salaried employees must submit the following documents:
      • A front and back NRIC copy AND
      • Most recent computerised payslip if your monthly salary is S$2,500 or below and latest 3 months’ computerised payslips if your monthly salary is more than S$2,500 OR
      • CPF Contribution History for the last 12 months to be submitted online on the bank’s website using your SingPass OR
      • Most recent Income Tax NOA (Notice of Assessment) + CPF Contribution History for the last 12 months or most recent computerised payslip.
      • Address proof document (utility/telephone bill) will be required if the mailing address printed on your NRIC is different than your current mailing address.
    • Self-employed and commission-based employees must submit the following documents:
      • A front and back NRIC copy AND
      • Most recent Income Tax NOA (Notice of Assessment).
      • Address proof document (utility/telephone bill) will be required if the mailing address printed on your NRIC is different than your current mailing address.
    • Foreigners must submit the following documents:
      • Passport copy with a minimum validity period of 6 months AND
      • Employment Pass or S Pass with a minimum validity period of 6 months AND
      • Address proof document such as a utility bill or telephone bill containing your local mailing address AND
      • Most recent computerised payslip (in SGD) OR
      • Most recent Income Tax NOA (Notice of Assessment) + most recent computerised payslip (in SGD) OR
      • Company letter containing your employment and salary details (in SGD) which must be dated within the past 3 months.

    How to apply for UOB Fuel Credit Cards

    You can apply for a UOB fuel credit card online on the bank’s official website. There are 2 ways to apply for UOB credit cards online:

    • Complete an online form and submit it for review. This process will take you approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
    • If you are an existing UOB customer and have UOB Personal Internet Banking, you can apply through this channel which will take you approximately 1 to 2 minutes.

    Applying through both ways can be done by visiting the UOB website and navigating to the respective credit card’s webpage. On this webpage, click on the option, “Apply Now”. After this, choose your mode of application and follow the steps to complete the application process.

    How to cancel UOB Fuel Credit Cards

    If you wish to cancel or terminate your UOB fuel credit card, you must first inform the bank. After informing the bank, you must cut your credit card in half and return the same to the bank. This step ensures your own protection. Your credit card will be cancelled after you have made payments with respect to any pending balances or liabilities on your card or account.
