What it Offers

Here are some of the highlights of the benefits that this insurance plan offers to its customers.

  • Coverage of up to S$10,000 for any overseas medical expenses for your children.
  • Up to S$300,000 of coverage for emergency medical evacuation and repatriation in Asian and ASEAN countries. There is no limit to this coverage for other international destinations.
  • Coverage of S$10,000 for hospital visitation in an international destination. This cover is limited to S$5,000 in the case of Asian or ASEAN countries.

This plan is extensive in the sense that every aspect of your travel plan is covered. There is a provision for even the cancellation of a trip, in which case you can get up to S$10,000. This plan does well to compensate in the case of loss of any personal property, this plan is designed to provide a cover of up to S$5,000 in this case. A cover of up to S$5,000 is provided in the case of loss of money or travel documents.

General Exclusions

  • No cover will be provided for any situation that is a result of an infectious disease or sickness.
  • You will not be covered for situations that are already covered by an existing insurance plan.
  • You will not be covered for situations that will be refunded by the airport, hotel, travel agency and other such institutions.
  • Personal items like food, perishables, computers, jewellery, paintings, gemstones, watches, dentures, antiques, paintings, manuscripts, and musical instruments will not be covered by this policy.
  • Damage to other personal baggage caused due to wear and tear.
  • You will not be covered for delays in flight that arise due to your failure to follow proper check-in procedures.
  • Property of your family members will not be covered.
  • Loss due to unlawful activities will not be covered.

How to File an Insurance Claim

In order to make an insurance claim, you need to download the form from the website and fill it up with all the supporting documents. Once you’re done completing the form, you need to mail it back to the address provided on the website. Some of the documents that you might need while making a claim are as follows:

  • Proof of travel. This is one of the most important documents that are required. This means that you will need to present a copy of airline tickets and passport.
  • For medical emergency claims, you will have to present all medical reports and bills. You will also need a letter from the doctor that you received treatment from.
  • If you are making a claim for loss of baggage, you are required to submit a proof of ownership like a bill. You also need a copy of the police report you filed for reporting the loss.
  • For any kind of additional expense, you will need bills and invoices for the incurred expenses.
  • For any delay in flight due to the fault of the airline, you will need a written confirmation explaining the same. You might also be required to provide a copy of your flight tickets, boarding pass and other such particulars.

The important thing is that you have to make a claim within 30 days of the incident. In case you fail to provide the necessary documents, you will be granted a year to produce the same, after which your claim can be considered void.

A. Yes, there are a few requirements that need to be met that make you eligible to add this travel insurance to your itinerary:

  • You should be a resident of Singapore at the time of purchase
