  • Get reimbursement of up to S$1,000 in case of credit card fraud.
  • Get a coverage of up to S$1 million if you are liable for the third party’s death, accidental loss, injury, or property damage.

The Deluxe plan offers a higher coverage compared to the Basic plan, in terms of trip cancellation and rental car excess. The Premier plan offers the highest coverage for each benefit. In case of your accidental demise in a public transport while overseas, this plan will give you lump sum amount of S$500,000. Upon return to Singapore, if you still need to be hospitalised, you will get a coverage of up to S$50,000. The plan will even cover you for any emergency telephone charges up to S$300. Also get golf cover of up to S$750 that covers loss of green fees, hole-in-one, and loss of/damage to your equipment. Things to Consider Before Getting AIA Around The World Plus

Before you buy this travel insurance policy, here is a list of factors you need to consider:

  • The Classic plan does not cover benefits like flight overbooking, accidental death caused in a public transport, child education grant, home cover, golf cover, and pet care.
  • The coverage amount for accidental death and medical expenses incurred overseas and in Singapore is lower for people over the age of 70.
  • This policy does not cover any pre-existing medical conditions like diabetes, asthma, and/or blood pressure.
  • The policy comes with a feature called the Free Look, where the insurer will give you 14 days to decide whether you want to continue with the policy. In case you don’t want to, you must notify AIA in writing. You will get a refund only if the trip has not commenced and no claim was made.
  • The maximum duration for a single trip under the annual plan is 90 days, while one trip under the single trip plan is 182 days.
  • The extension of cover is applicable only on single trip plans.

A. No, you can purchase a single policy, which covers up to 10 travellers. If there are 5 or more travellers under a single trip plan, you will get a discount of 5% on the premium.
