The dbox safe deposit box keeps your confidential documents and other valuables safe. The boxes come in various sizes and when you subscribe to one, you can enjoy a discount of 20% on the box rate for the first 3 years. You can even open an account for your company and enjoy the discount.

Things You Must Know Before Opening a Box

  • If you are opening a joint account, then the co-renter must be present as well to register.
  • Up to 2 renters are allowed for each safe deposit box.
  • Boxes come in 4 sizes - small, medium, large, and extra large.
  • Get access to your deposit box only during banking hours.
  • The first payment must be done via NETS or cash card for a personal account and via company cheque for a corporate account.
  • Subsequent payments can be done through GIRO.

What Can You Put in a dbox Safe Deposit Box

You can store anything that you are not comfortable with keeping at home. Valuable items like jewellery, important documents, collectables, etc. can be stored. However, you are not allowed to keep any perishable items and illegal or hazardous products like weapons and explosives.

Documents Required

For personal account:

  • NRIC for Singaporeans.
  • Passport for foreigners.

For corporate account:

  • Company’s letter authorising you to open the account.
  • Organisation’s registration certificate.
  • Your company’s stamp for the contract.

How to Open a dbox Safe Deposit Box

Kindly visit the SECOM Centre along with the documents to open a safe deposit box. You can also download the registration form, fill up the details, and submit it at the office.

To know more about the safe deposit box, call on the helpline, visit the office, or email them for assistance. The deposit fee of S$150 will be refunded when you close the box, clear all dues, and remove the contents in the box.
