BOC safe deposit boxes are available at 2 locations. The boxes come in different sizes to meet your diverse needs. When you open a safe deposit box with BOC, you will get 1 key and the bank will hold on to another. This box can be accessed at any time during banking hours.
You can store items like jewellery and confidential documents in a safe deposit box. If you are not comfortable with keeping certain items at home, you can store them safely in a safe deposit box as they are heavily guarded. You will be allowed to view the contents in the box only after a thorough photo identification and a valid signature.

Q. How do I pay the box rental fee?
A. You must pay the annual rental fee in advance. The bank will automatically debit the amount from your savings/current account.
Q. What if I lose my keys?
A. If you lose just one key, then you must notify the bank immediately in person. Visit the branch with your identification documents. If you lose both keys, kindly call on the 24-hour helpline to speak to a representative. Charges will apply.
Q. I want to close the box. What do I need to do?
A. If you want to terminate the box facility, you must notify the bank in writing 2 weeks in advance. Then, you need to remove all the contents, hand over the keys, and sign the final discharge papers.
Q. What happens to my box if I die?
A. In the event of your death, your beneficiary will be allowed to remove the contents from the box, provided he/she presents the Letters of Administration or Grant of Probate.
