Singapore: HSBC has declared a welcome gift of 40,000 air miles to its new Visa Infinite card applicants. You need to pay the annual fee of S$650 (or S$488 for Premier Banking customers) to get this.
These air miles are awarded in the form of 100,000 HSBC Reward Points. Previously, the welcome gift consisted of 35,000 air miles.
You can exchange your HSBC Reward Points for air miles by enrolling into HSBC’s Mileage Programme and paying a nominal programme fee of S$40 (GST included). Under this programme, you can transfer your redeemable points in blocks of 5,000 from your HSBC account to any participating airline’s frequent flyer programme account.
HSBC Visa Infinite Credit Card also gives you unlimited Priority Pass access and complimentary travel insurance. You get free limousine transfers and fast track airport immigration if you spend a minimum of S$5,000 per month on this card. You can enjoy Visa Luxury Hotel Collection perks as well.
