    Features and Benefits of HSBC Cashback Credit Cards

    HSBC Advance Credit Card:

    • This credit card offers cashback on all purchases with no minimum purchase requirement.
    • Advance Banking customers will receive 3.5% cashback on monthly spends of above S$2,000 and 2.5% cashback on monthly spends of S$2,000 and lesser using HSBC Advance Credit Card. The cashback has a monthly cap of S$125.

    Interest Rates on HSBC Cashback Credit Cards

    If you pay your outstanding balances in full every month, no interest charges will be applicable on your transactions. In the event that you only make minimum or partial payments on your credit card balances, an Effective Interest Rate (EIR) of 25.9% p.a. will be applied on your transactions. This interest rate is subject to compounding every day until the balance in repaid in full. The minimum interest charged on HSBC cashback credit cards is S$2.50.

    Eligibility Criteria for HSBC Cashback Credit Cards

    • Nationality requirement -Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and foreigners qualify to apply for all HSBC cashback credit cards.
    • Age requirement:
      • Minimum age requirement for principal credit cardholders - 21 years.
      • Minimum age requirement for supplementary credit cardholders - 18 years.
    • Minimum income requirement:
    • HSBC Advance Credit Card and HSBC Visa Platinum Credit Card:
      • Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents need to earn at least S$30,000 p.a. and foreigners and self-employed need to earn at least S$40,000 p.a.
      • However, you can still apply for these cards if you don’t meet the minimum income criteria by offering a fixed deposit collateral of at least S$10,000 to HSBC until your credit card account is closed.
    • HSBC Premier MasterCard Credit Card:
      • This credit card is only offered to HSBC Premier Customers who have a Premier Relationship with the bank for a minimum of S$200,000 worth deposits in insurance/investments.
      • Additionally, Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents need to earn at least S$30,000 p.a. and foreigners and self-employed need to earn at least S$40,000 p.a.
      • You can also apply for a secured credit card without providing income documents. A minimum S$10,000 worth deposit will be required to apply for a secured card and you will get up to 50% credit limit of your deposit amount.

    Documents Required for HSBC Cashback Credit Cards

    • Salaried employees should submit:
      • A copy of your NRIC (front and back) and
      • Your eCPF statement contribution copy online through www.hsbc.com.sg/ecpf using your SingPass credentials and
      • Your most recent Income Tax Notice of Assessment + last month’s computerised payslip or computerised payslips for the past 3 months’.
    • Self-employed applicants should submit:
      • A copy of your NRIC (front and back) and
      • Income Tax Notice of Assessment for the past 2 years.
    • Foreigners should additionally submit:
      • Your Passport copy and
      • Your Employment Pass copy (front and back) which is valid for at least 6 months and
      • You’re most recent Income Tax Notice of Assessment or computerised payslips for the past 3 months’.

    How to Cancel an HSBC Cashback Credit Card

    If you want to cancel your HSBC cashback credit card, you will have to cut the card crosswise in half and return it to the bank. You will have to pay any outstanding dues and/or fees and charges before your credit card is successfully cancelled.
