MSIG ProtectionPlus

The ProtectionPlus insurance policy is an accident insurance policy that covers you against death or Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD). You can choose from 3 plans under this policy – Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The key highlight of this personal accident plan is you will receive a 10% extra cover for death and TPD each year, up to the 3rd renewal year. This means that 4th year onwards, you will enjoy 30% extra cover at no additional charge, provided you didn’t make any claim in the preceding year.

  • Get up to S$200 as daily hospital cash benefit for 50 days if you have an accident.
  • Get monthly payout of up to S$2,600 for a maximum of 2 years, in the event you are unable to work due to temporary total disablement.
  • Bereavement grant of up to S$10,000.
  • If you and your spouse enrol for this plan together, you will receive a complimentary cover for up to 3 children.

  • You and your spouse must either be Singaporean citizens or Permanent Residents.
  • You and your spouse must be aged between 18 and 65.
  • You child should be aged between 1 and 23.

  • You can download the application form and mail it to MSIG along with the required documents.


Q. How can I protect my spouse and children if I have an insurance with a different company?

A. Your spouse can enrol for this policy along with your 3 children. Each of your child will receive 10% of the insured sum for death, TPD and medical expenses, based on the plan your spouse selects.

Q. I want to change my insured sum. Will I get the policy renewal bonus on the revised limit?

A. When you renew the policy for the first time, you will get a bonus of 10% on the revised limit. The bonus cover is applicable only on death and TPD benefits.

Q. If I have to stay out of the country, will I still get coverage?

A. Yes, you and your family will continue to receive the coverage if you stay out of Singapore for up to 6 months during the term of the insurance.

Q. What are the exclusions under this policy?

A. The policy exclusions are as follows:

  • War
  • Nuclear activity
  • Suicide
  • Self-inflicted harm
  • Pre-existing medical conditions
  • Abuse of drugs or alcohol

Q. How to make a claim under this policy?

A. You must contact the Claims Department as soon as the need arises. You will have to fill up a claim form and submit it to MSIG along with all the proof of accident like a police report, doctor’s report, medical receipts, and invoices.
