    Interest Rates on DBS Fuel Cards

    The annual rate of interest on DBS Fuel Cards is 25.9% p.a. The interest is charged on a compounding basis every month on your outstanding balance. You are required to make a minimum monthly payment of 3% of your outstanding balance by the due date.

    The interest on cash advances is 28%. Also, a cash advance handling fee of 6% of the amount withdrawn will be levied. Cash advances attract a daily, compounding interest rate until the entire amount is repaid in full.

    How to apply for DBS Fuel Credit Cards

    If you wish to apply for a DBS Fuel Credit Card, all you need to do is visit the official DBS Singapore website and fill out the online application form. You need to enter your details – identity details, income details, residential details etc. in the fields provided.

    You will also be required to submit your supporting documents that include your proof of identity, income residence, etc. Once done, a representative from DBS’s credit team will get in touch with you and clarify details provided by you in the application form. Your application will then be processed and reviewed.

    While reviewing your application, banks will look at aspects including your employment history, history of credit, existing debt and your overall credit score. If your application meets the credit norms of the bank, it will subsequently be approved. Note that once your application is approved, your credit card will reach you in about 7 business days.

    How to Cancel a DBS Fuel Credit Card

    If you wish to cancel a DBS Fuel Card, simply write to DBS with a request to cancel the card. Also provide your card number and signature along with the request. The letter needs to be sent to “DBS Cards, Orchard Road, P.O. Box 360, Singapore 912312”. Once you’ve done this, you need to cut the primary and supplementary cards into half, in order to prevent misuse. You also need to pay off your outstanding bills on the card.

    In case you need to cancel the card because you lost or misplaced it, then you can call the DBS hotline on 1800 111 1111 and report the loss. The bank will block your card and send you a new one.
