    Applying for DBS Credit Card

    DBS credit card can be applied for through the following methods:

    • If the applicant is an existing DBS customer registered with iBanking, they can apply for a credit card using the following the below mentioned steps:
      • Login to iBanking with User ID and PIN.
      • Select ‘Apply’, then click on ‘Credit Cards’.
      • Login with their iB Secure PIN of 6-Digits.
      • Select the card they want to apply for, then click ‘Next’.
      • Fill in their Personal Details, then click ‘Next’.
      • Read the card agreement thoroughly, then click ‘Next’.
      • Review the details and then click ‘Submit’.
    • If the applicant is new to DBS and have not held any DBS credit card earlier:
      • Visit the credit card application portal and click on third option, ‘I have none of the above’.
      • Select the card they want to apply for by clicking on ‘Add Cards’. Up to 4 cards can be selected.
      • Click on the required card and select ‘OK’.
      • Click on ‘Start Application’ to go to the next step.
      • Fill in their Personal Details, then click ‘Next’.
      • Review the details and then click ‘Next’.
      • Upload all the documents necessary and click on ‘submit’.

    DBS Bank credit cards activation for singapore Use

    • SMS Activation: SMS the following text to 77767.
      • Activate last 4 digits of the card.
      • Foreign-registered mobile numbers can use iBanking/DBS digibank app.
    • App Activation (DBS digibank):
      • Cardholders can login to the digibank app with their user ID, password and token.
      • Upon successful login select "Card Services".
      • Then click on "Activate Credit Card or Activate ATM/Debit Card"
      • Follow further instructions on the app screen to activate their credit card.
    • Online Activation (iBanking):
      • Cardholders can login to iBanking using their user ID, password.
      • Select the "Cards" tab, then click on "Card Activation".
      • Select "Credit Card" from the options.
      • Select the Card to activate.
      • Accept Terms and Conditions, then click "Next".
      • Review the details and then click ‘Submit’.
    • ATM Activation (DBS/POSB ATMs): This service isavailable from 7am to 11pm, Monday to Saturday, and 7am to 9.30pm on Sundays and public holidays.
      • Cardholders need to insert their new Credit Card into the ATM slot.
      • Key in the PIN provided with the card.
      • Select "More Services" from the screen.
      • Then Select "Cards/PIN/iBanking/Phonebanking"
      • Select "Activate Card".
      • Follow further instructions on the screen to activate their credit card.

    DBS Credit Card Activation for Overseas use:

    • SMS Activation: SMS one of the following to 77767:
      • Enabling without end date: Type ‘Enable overseas Card’s last 4 digits’.
      • Enabling with an end date: Type ‘Enable overseas Card’s last 4 digits start date end date’. Input dates in DDMMYYYY format.
      • Disabling activated card - Type ‘Disable overseas Card’s last 4 digits’.
    • Online Activation (iBanking):
      • Cardholders can login to iBanking using their user ID, password.
      • Select the "Cards" tab, then click on “Activate Card’s Magnetic Stripe for Overseas Use”.
      • Key in their iB Secure PIN of 6 digits.
      • Find the Card Selection List and select Card Account.
      • Change status of overseas function the Card's Magnetic Stripe to preference.
      • Click on ‘Submit’, then on ‘Confirm to proceed’.
    • Application Activation (DBS digibank):
      • Cardholders can login to digibank using their user ID, password.
      • Click on “Card Services”.
      • Select “Allow Card’s Magnetic Stripe for Overseas Use”.
      • Key in their iB Secure PIN.
      • Find the Card Selection List and select Card Account.
      • Change status of overseas function the Card's Magnetic Stripe to preference.
      • Give Authorization, then click “Next”.
      • Verify details and then click “Confirm”.
    • ATM Activation (DBS/POSB ATMs)
      • Follow the first 3 steps of activating a new card.
      • Then select “Card’s Magnetic Stripe for Overseas Use”.
      • Click on “Continue”.
      • Change the status of overseas function of their Card's magnetic stripe to preference.
      • Follow further instructions on the screen to successfully activate their credit card for overseas use.

    DBS Bank Credit Card Cancellation

    To report loss/theft of credit card: Cardholders can call DBS’s Lost Card hotline at

    • Singapore: 1800-111-1111
    • Overseas: +65 6327 2265

    Alternatively, cardholders can also register their report at

    • Singapore: 1800 339 6963
    • Overseas: (65) 6339 6963.

    Credit Card Cancellation: If a cardholder wishes to cancel a credit card, they may request the same via DBS’s iBanking Messages option.

    • Cardholders can login to their iBanking account using their User ID, PIN.
    • Find “Messages” at the top right and click on it to select “Compose”.
    • Key in their iB secure PIN.
    • Select the topic as ‘Credit Cards’ and the subject as ‘Cancel Card’.
    • Give the number of the credit card that is to be terminated.
    • Select a termination reason and click “Send”.

    Charge Disputes: If a cardholder has some disputes with the charges on their credit card bill, they can call DBS’s Customer Service Centre at 1800 111 1111 (Singapore) and (65) 6327 2265 (overseas).
