Activating the Card for Overseas Use
Yes, the magnetic stripe on the back of your card has to be activated if you wish to use your card at POS terminals overseas.
The magnetic stripe is, by default, kept in the deactivated state.
Don’t forget to deactivate the feature again on returning to Singapore.

Instalment Payment Plans
UOB 0% IPP:
It’s an interest-free instalment plan.
Spread your big-ticket purchase into affordable and easily manageable instalments to lower your cost burden.
The purchase value shouldn’t be less than the minimum amount as determined by the bank from time to time.
The purchase price, divided into specific number of equal instalments, will be charged to your card account.
An administrative fee of S$100 will be levied if the plan is terminated prematurely or the card account is cancelled, in which case, any outstanding balance will also have to be settled.

Spread your payment into 3, 6, or 12 monthly instalments, as per your choice and convenience.

The withdrawal limit can be changed through any one of the following modes:

Report the incident to the bank promptly.
File a police report and submit a copy of the same to the bank, if asked for.
Write a letter or make a statutory declaration following the prescribed format to confirm the incident and to provide other details asked for.
Your liability for unauthorised transactions charged to your card will be limited to S$100, provided:
You weren’t deemed to be grossly negligent.
You weren’t involved in the fraud, directly or otherwise, as per the bank’s assessment.
You have notified the bank of the incident at the earliest.
The bank may decide to waive off yout S$100 fraud liability charge at its discretion.
Replacement cards will only be issued in Singapore. However, if you lose your card abroad, call the bank to apprise it of the incident.

How to Enable/Disable Auto Debit & Standing Instructions?
Use GIRO or Bill Pay Services
To enable auto debit service for the bills linked to your credit card, you can opt for automatic bill payment service known as ‘Bill Pay’. To get this service:
Download the Payment Consent Form from UOB’s website.
Fill it and send via fax or mail to UOB.
To pay the credit card balance, complete the interbank GIRO form available on the bank’s site and send it to UOB.

How Much is the Minimum Payment to Be Made on the Card
3% of bill or S$50
Every month, you need to pay at least 3% of bill amount or S$50 (whichever is higher). If there’s any overdue amount or over-limit amount from previous bills, that also must be paid.
What Is the Grace Period?
Every month you will get a grace period of 21 days from the statement generation date, only if the previous bill is paid in full payment. This grace period means that you won’t be charged any interest on the purchases made in the given month.
