The UOB PRVI Miles Visa Card is among those cards that offer travel insurance cover. The cardholder, his/her spouse are covered under this free insurance up to S$1 million. The policy is underwritten by United Overseas Insurance Limited. You have to activate the insurance and charge the entire flight ticket through the card to enjoy the benefits of this policy. UOB has a 0% Instalment Payment Plan. This plan is applicable for UOB PRVI Miles Visa Card. The plan works only if the available credit limit on your card, excluding the available instalment balance and temporary credit line increase is enough to block the entire instalment amount.
Like other card transactions, the instalment that you have to pay must reflect in your card statement. Each instalment will be billed to the statement, indicating the number of instalments charged.
In relation to refunds, the current instalment arrangement will continue and a one-time refund will be made to the same account. It will take about four weeks for the refund to process and it will reflect in your card statement.

The exchange rates used to convert foreign currency transactions into Singapore dollars change on a daily basis and depends on when the transactions are processed after submission by the merchants.
Also, transactions made using a foreign currency are subject to an administrative fee levied on the Singapore dollar sum converted. For UOB PRVI Miles Visa Card, all transactions in foreign currencies will be subject to a foreign currency factor of 3.25%, 1% of which will be retained by Visa.
For example, if you spend $500 on shopping in US, using your UOB card, you will be charged an admin fee of 3.25% on the converted Singapore Dollar amount by UOB. Say $1 = S$1.31, then $500 = S$655. So, your actual shopping cost in Singapore dollar will be S$676.29, out of which S$21.29 will be the foreign currency charge (3.25/100 x 655 = 21.29).

To be eligible for this card, you will have to fulfil the following requirements:
UOB charges a 25.9% p.a. interest on card transactions (minimum S$3). The interest is calculated daily, beginning from the date of the unsettled amount in addition to the late payment charges until the entire payment is done.
If you fail to make payment of the minimum amount by the due date, you will have to pay an extra 3% p.a. interest on top of the current interest rate. This rate is computed daily and will be charged on the next monthly bill.
Interest charged on cash advance is 28% p.a.
You have to ensure that all payments are done by the due date. If you fail to pay the bills on time, you will have to pay a late payment fee and the interest on the unpaid amount. In some cases the bank may even suspend your card. In case you pay just the minimum amount, you will have to pay interest on the unsettled amount.

Also, you have to pay the bank in Singapore dollars. If the bank receives any payment in a foreign currency, UOB will convert such payment into Singapore Dollars at the current rate of exchange.

If you lose your credit card or if it is stolen, you must notify UOB immediately. For any unauthorised transactions on the card, you are liable to pay up to S$100. You will have to bear the cost of all unauthorised charges on your card if the bank is convinced that you were careless, acted in an illegal manner and/or failed to immediately inform UOB about the theft.
