    OCBC Credit Card Statement

    Swiping your credit card is easy, but keeping track of those transactions isn’t always easy. Every month, your card issuer will send you what is known as a credit card statement. This statement provides a detailed description of all the transactions that you have made in the last month. This statement doesn’t just tell you how much you owe your card issuer for that particular month, but it also helps you ensure that you haven’t been billed for any fraudulent transactions.

    OCBC Online Banking

    OCBC provides its customers hard copies of their statements as well as electronic copies. If you decided to opt for an electronic copy of your credit card statement, then you will stop receiving a printed copy from the subsequent printing date of your statement. Electronic copies of your credit card statements can be accessed through the OCBC Online Banking portal. If requested, it can also be emailed to your latest registered email address. E-Statements provide you with the convenience of being able to store and retrieve your statements at any time. Moreover, when accessed through Online Banking, your statements will be stored for up to 3 years from the date of subscription.

    To receive electronic statements via email, you need to update your email address either through Online Banking or through an OCBC ATM.

    1. Online Banking: To update your email address through this method, you will need your Hardware Token. If you are using the online banking facility for the first time, then you will be prompted to request for the Hardware Token.
      1. Use your access code and PIN to login to the portal.
      2. From the top navigation bar, select “Customer Service”.
      3. Then select “Change Personal Details”.
      4. Update your email address.
      1. Select “Other Services”.
      2. Then select “Update Contact Particulars”.

    Opting for E-statement

    1. Online Banking:
      1. With the help of your access code and PIN login to the portal.
      2. Choose “Your Accounts” on the top navigation bar.
      3. Then select “Manage e-statements”.
      4. You can choose to receive your statements through “Online Banking” or “Online Banking and Email” by selecting the option of your choice.
      5. Use the checkbox to select the accounts for which you wish to receive electronic statements.
    2. Mobile Banking:
      1. Once you log into Mobile Banking with your Access Code and PIN, select “Menu”.
      2. Then select “e-statements” and “Manage e-statements”.
      3. Select either “Online Banking” or “Online Banking and Email” to choose the mode through which you want to receive your statements.
      4. You can choose the account(s) for which you wish to receive e-statements by checking the respective boxes.

      3. From the dropdown list, select “Subscribe to e-statements”.
      4. Once you have verified your email address displayed on the screen, click “Confirm”.

    If you subscribe to electronic statements through any of these methods after 9:00 p.m., the changes will only be effective post 9:00 a.m. the following day. However, you will still be able to view and download past statements during that time.

    Changing Password to Email E-statement

    The password for your e-statement can be changed through the OCBC website as well as their online banking portal.

      1. Visit
      2. Enter the necessary details and then select “Change e-statement password” from the dropdown.
      3. Your new password needs to be between 8 and 16 alphanumeric characters. Once you have entered and confirmed your new password, click “Submit”.
    2. Online Banking:
      1. Log in to Online Banking and select “Customer Service” under the menu option.
      2. Choose “Change e-statement Password” and enter your new password.
      3. Once you have confirmed your password, click “Submit”.

    It is important to keep in mind that you will not be able to use your new password to open previous e-statements once the change has been made.

    Viewing Digital Statement

    Your electronic statement is password protected. When you open the PDF, you will be asked to enter a 12-character alphanumeric password. This password consists of the last 5 characters and digits of your National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or passport number. This is followed by your date of birth. The format of which is DDMmmYY. So, if your NRIC is S12342223G and your date of birth is 09-10-1987, then your password will be 2223G09Oct87.

    The steps to view your e-statement on OCBC Online and Mobile Banking are:

    1. Online Banking:
      1. Use your Access Code and PIN to login and select “Your Accounts” from the menu.
      2. Choose “View e-statements”.
      3. Select the month and the type of account to view your statement.
    2. Mobile Banking:
      1. After logging in to Mobile Banking with your Access Code and PIN, select “Menu”.
      2. Choose “View e-statements” and the month and account type to view your statement.

    Processing Time and Cost of E-statement

    If you decide to opt-in for an electronic statement before the print date of your statement, then you will receive it by the next due date. At times, it may take 1 or 2 working days to be able to view the statement because they are processed in batches. You can subscribe to SMS alerts or email alerts so that you are notified when your statement has been processed and can be viewed. The steps to subscribe to this service are:

    • Log in to Online Banking and select “Customer Service”.
    • Then select “Manage eAlerts” and expand the option “Other Online Banking activities”.
    • Check the box corresponding to eAlerts for your statement.

    There are no fees or charges levied if you decide to receive electronic statements.

    Opting for Hard Copy Statements

    You can revert to receiving paper statements through Online Banking. Just follow the steps you had taken to opt-in for electronic statements. However, under the “Manage e-statements” option, uncheck the boxes for the accounts for which you want to revert to paper statements.
