    Activating the Card for Overseas Use?

    • Yes, the magnetic stripe of your card has to be activated before you can use your card for non-EMV POS transactions overseas.
    • The overseas cash withdrawal feature on your card has to be activated also.
    • Activate your card for overseas use by doing one of the following:
      • Visit any OCBC Branch with your NRIC/Passport.
      • Call the bank’s customer service desk and speak with an executive.
      • Use OCBC’s online banking facility.
      • Visit the bank’s website.

    Instalment Payment Plans

    • Convert your large-value purchases into interest-free instalment payments through PayLite.
    • Spread your payment over a tenure of 24 months.
    • Charge a minimum of S$100 to your card to opt in for this plan.
    • A one-time processing fee will be charged. It starts from 3% and depends on the tenure of the plan.
    • Opt in for the instalment payment plan at any local or overseas merchant.
    • Apply for this plan by:
      • Submitting an online form.
      • Calling the bank.
      • Using your online banking account.

    Cash Withdrawn on Credit Cards

    • Up to S$1,000 can be withdrawn per transaction in Singapore.
    • Up to S$20,000 can be withdrawn from an OCBC ATM per day in Singapore.
    • The maximum withdrawal limits at overseas ATMs will vary.
    • Your card PIN will be needed to initiate a withdrawal.

    Card Is Lost/Stolen

    • Report the incident to the bank immediately.
    • Call the OCBC hotline number and inform the bank to get a replacement card.
    • File a police report and submit a copy of the same to the bank, if asked to.
    • Submit a statutory declaration form, in the prescribed format, to the bank confirming and detailing the incident.
    • Your liability for unauthorised transactions made through your card will be limited to S$100, provided:
      • It is found that you weren’t complicit in the fraud.
      • It is found that the incident didn’t result from gross negligence on your part.
      • It is found that you were cooperative with the bank during the investigation and complied with the bank’s regulations.
      • It is found that the incident was reported within a reasonable period from the time of its occurrence.
    • During investigations, late fees or interests won’t be charged.

    You should always keep your credit card details confidential. This is because, in case your card information is compromised, you might be held responsible for any kind of an unauthorised transaction done using your card.

    You can enable auto debit payments to qualifying merchants by using your OCBC Arts Platinum MasterCard. You can set up standing instructions by using your online banking credentials. You can also set up auto debits from your OCBC savings or current account to pay your monthly bills through online banking. Another option is by submitting the ‘Standing Instruction’ form to OCBC. In case you want to disable your standing instructions, you need to notify the OCBC bank at least 5 working days in advance to your next payment.
