    How to Activate ICBC Union Pay Dual Currency Card for Overseas Use?

    You need to activate your credit card for overseas usage. Before you can use your card for an overseas transaction, the magnetic stripe on your card needs to be enabled. Your credit card can be activated in the following ways:

    • By calling the 24-hour hotline
    • Via internet banking
    • By visiting your nearest bank branch

    ICBC Credit Card Instalment Payment Plan (IPP)

    • With this plan, you can pay for your big purchases via interest-free instalments on a monthly basis. You can choose to repay within 3, 6, 12, or 24 months.
    • To qualify for this plan, you need to submit your IPP application at least 7 business days before the due date of your statement.
    • Depending on your repayment period you choose, a one-time processing fee will be applicable.
    • You must charge the transaction to your Singapore Dollar card account. To qualify for this plan, you need to be an existing ICBC credit cardholder.
    • This plan can be used on a qualifying transaction that is worth at least S$500. You can apply for this plan in three ways:

    Lost or Stolen Card?

    If your ICBC Credit Card is lost, stolen, or the card’s PIN has been disclosed without your authorization, you need to notify the ICBC Bank immediately. Your liability will be restricted to S$100 for any unapproved transaction that happened after your card was lost or stolen, provided you suffice the conditions mentioned below:

    • You intimated the bank about the loss of your card or unauthorised pin disclosure immediately.
    • You helped the bank authorities in recovering any unapproved charges that may have been made with the card.
    • You submit a police report copy to the bank which includes a written confirmation of the loss or theft of your card or your card’s PIN disclosure without your approval.
    • You need to assist the bank with any other kind of information the bank might need to proceed with the investigation.
