The OCBC Titanium Rewards Card gives you up to 10 OCBC$ per S$1 spent, especially on payments made for shoes, clothes, bags, electronics, department stores, children’s wear and personal care – both offline and online, and inside and outside Singapore. This translates to 0.4 Krisflyer Miles per OCBC$ earned.
Please refer to the table below to understand how you can earn more air miles on your OCBC Titanium Rewards Credit Card:
|You earn OCBC$ for any purchases||Total air miles earned||Minimum spend required||Maximum OCBC$ that can be earned|
|For every S$1 that is spent on transactions related to online or offline purchases from department stores, or for bags, clothes, shoes, baby wear, personal care, electronics and mobile wallet payments (Samsung Pay, Apple Pay, Android Pay), both inside and outside Singapore||10 OCBC$||4 air miles||None||120,000, after which you will earn only 1 OCBC$ per S$1 spent on these categories as well|
|For every S$1 that is spent locally||1 OCBC$ = 0.4 air miles||0.4 air mile||None||None|
So if you spend more in the respective high-miles earning categories, then you will earn miles at faster rate. For example, if you spend S$1,500 per month in the designated categories, then you will earn 15,000 OCBC$. If you continue doing this for 6 months, you will earn a total of 90,000 OCBC$, You can redeem this for 30,000 miles (with 15,000 OCBC$ to spare), which can get you to Hong Kong, Taiwan or South China in an Economy Class ticket with Singapore Airlines.
The accumulated OCBC$ can be used to redeem vouchers, rebates, air miles and other redemption products listed in the reward catalogue. However, we are looking only at air mile conversions here.
In order to start earning your air miles, you will need to register for a frequent flyer programme with Singapore Airlines. You can do this through an additional form that can be obtained from the bank. You can also check OCBC online banking for options to enroll in the miles programme. Once you are enrolled, you can convert your OCBC$ into Krisflyer miles. Just visit ocbc.com/rewards.
A few things to remember:
Keep checking your credit card statement to see how many miles you are earning every month. This will help you plan your redemptions well.
