    Interest rate Card transactions are charged an interest rate of 25.9% per annum and late payment of dues attracts an additional interest rate of 3%.
    Late payment charges The fee is based on outstanding dues. If the outstanding amount is less than S$50 then no fee is charged but if it is S$50.01 or more, a fee of S$80 is charged.
    Cash advance fee The fee is 6% of the amount withdrawn. Cash advances have a minimum fee of S$15.

    DBS Altitude AMEX Card foreign currencies Transactions Charges

    Cardholders will be charged for transactions carried out in foreign currencies. Such transactions effected in US Dollars are converted into Singaporean Dollars. Transactions made in any other currencies are converted into US Dollars and then into Singaporean Dollars. The rate of exchange used for conversion will be the prevailing rate at the time of posting and not at the time the transaction was made. The fee imposed is an administrative fee of 2.65% on the converted Singaporean Dollar amount. In addition to this fee, a fee of 1% of the converted Singaporean Dollar amount is charged by Visa/MasterCard and 0.6% of the converted Singaporean Dollar amount is charged by UnionPay.

    For those transactions made in foreign currencies and converted using Dynamic Currency Conversion, a fee of 2.8% is charged on the converted Singaporean Dollar amount. This fee is inclusive of a 1% fee imposed by Visa/MasterCard.

    Those transactions that are made overseas but effected in Singaporean Dollars are charged a fee of 2.8% on the converted Singaporean Dollar amount. This fee is inclusive of a 1% fee imposed by Visa/MasterCard.

    How to apply for DBS Altitude American Express Credit Card

    Candidates can apply for this card via 2 channels. They can either visit their nearest DBS branch or visit the DBS website and apply for the card. Cardholders must complete the application form and provide the required income documents to successfully avail the card.

    DBS Altitude American Express Credit Card Eligibility

    The minimum age of cardholders should be of 21 years at the time of application.

    • Singaporean nationals or Permanent residents who wish to apply for this card should earn a minimum annual income of S$30,000.
    • Foreign nationals require a minimum annual income of S$45,000 to avail this DBS Credit Card.

    Documents Required To Apply DBS Altitude Card

    Applicants need to provide the following documents to avail the DBS Altitude American Express card.

    For Salaried Applicants

    • Front and back copy of NRIC.
    • CPF Contribution statement dating back 12 months.
    • Most recent income tax notice of assessment or
    • The copy of the latest computerised payslips.

    For Self-employed Applicants

    For Commission or Variable Earning Applicants

    • Front and back copy of NRIC.
    • CPF contribution statement dating back 12 months or
    • Most recent income tax notice of assessment dating back at least 2 years.

    For Foreign Applicants

    • A copy of the applicant’s passport.
    • A copy of the applicant’s employment pass with a minimum of 6 months of validity remaining on it.
    • Copy of latest payslip.
    • Company letter that acts as proof of employment.
    • The applicant must have served a minimum of 3 months in the current employer’s service during time of application.

    DBS Altitude American Express Credit Card Interest Rates

    Interest rates charged on the DBS Altitude American Express card for transactions is 25.90% per annum charged on a daily basis. This interest rate is charged when the dues owed are not paid in full by the specified due date. If cardholders fail to make the minimum monthly payment on time, then a penalty interest rate of 3% in addition to the prevailing interest rate is charged. This penalty rate will stop being charged when all previous outstanding dues have been cleared. Interest rates charged on cash transactions is 28% per annum charged on a daily basis from date of cash advance until it has been fully repaid. Interest rates are subject to change as per discretion of the bank and cardholders must check with DBS to find out prevailing interest rates of the product.

    Repayments

    DBS Altitude American Express cardholders are required to make a minimum monthly payment that is S$50 or 3% of the outstanding balance plus any previous dues, whichever is higher. If cardholders exceed their credit limit, then the amount they are exceeding it by should also be paid in addition to the monthly minimum payment.

    What to do if your DBS Altitude Amex Card is lost/stolen?

    Cardholders must notify DBS immediately if they have lost or misplaced or have had their DBS Altitude American Express card stolen. DBS will then limit the liability of the cardholder against unauthorised transactions made on such cards provided it is satisfied that the cardholders had notified them in time and that the loss or theft did not take place due to sheer negligence on part of the cardholder.
