    Activating the Card for Overseas Expenses

    • Yes, the magnetic stripe on the back of your card has to be activated before you can use it for retail transactions abroad.
    • This technology is by default in a deactivated state for data protection.

    • Deactivate the feature after returning to Singapore for security reasons.

    Instalment Payment Plans Available

    • Split your big-ticket purchases into fixed monthly instalments with the CIMB 0% i.Pay Plan.
    • Distribute the pay over 5, 10, or 20 equal monthly instalments.
    • Enjoy a 0% APR only if you pay the instalments in full every month.

    Lost/Stolen Cards

    • Report the incident to the bank immediately by calling its hotline number.
    • In cases of theft, a report needs to be filed with the police and a copy of the same has to be submitted to the bank.
    • Cut the card into several pieces and send it to the bank if you find it after you have informed the bank of its disappearance. Don’t use the same card again.
    • Your liability for unauthorised use of your card will be limited to S$100 provided:
      • You have informed the bank about the incident within a reasonable period from the time of its detection.
      • You weren’t complicit in the fraud.
      • You weren’t negligent while handling your card.
      • You assisted the bank during its independent investigation.
