    Earning Rewards

    The BOC Shop! Credit Card Cash Rebate Programme

    The cash rebate programme offered by BOC has the following terms and conditions:

    • Earn a cash rebate in a particular billing cycle of up to S$80.
    • Spend at least S$1,000 in a month to earn cash rebate of 1%.
    • Spend S$1,000 or below to get a cash rebate of 0.5%.
    • Get the cash rebate for purchases made in the previous month at the end of the billing cycle.
    • Cash rebate will be calculated based on each amount posted on your statement and adjusted to the closest two decimal points.
    • BOC considers both local and foreign transactions for rebate unless it is done for bank fees, insurance, taxes, or other payments for the government.
    • Rebates earned can’t be exchanged for cash or gifts.

    Activating the Card for Overseas Expenses

    The magnetic stripe of the card has to be activated for overseas use. Follow the steps mentioned below to successfully activate this feature of your card:

    • Call the bank’s hotline.
    • For credit card enquiries press "3".
    • Type your card number.
    • Input your 6-digit telephone PIN.
    • Press “3" to activate/deactivate your card.
    • Press “1” to choose the period of activation.

    Instalment Payment Plans Available

    • BOC offers 0% Interest Instalment Payment Plan (IPP) on BOC Shop! Card.
    • Convert your large expenses into affordable monthly instalments for lower cost burden.
    • Your payment can be spread over 6, 12, 24, or 36 months according to your preference.
    • No interest will be charged if you pay your instalments in full every month.
    • Opt for this plan at any of the 322 partner merchants that offer this facility.
    • A purchase worth below S$500 can’t be converted into this plan.
    • The amount or the tenor, once selected, can’t be changed.
    • Credit limit will continue to get restored back to the original with every instalment payment.
    • In case of premature termination or repayment of this plan, a redemption fee of S$150 will be charged.

    Lost/Stolen Cards

    • Call the BOC hotline to block your card.
    • Report the incident in writing, if needed.
    • File a police report and submit a copy of the same to the bank, if required.
    • Your liability for unauthorised transactions made on your card will be limited to S$100, provided:
      • You weren’t complicit in the fraud.
      • You weren’t negligent in the handling of your card.
      • You offered full assistance and cooperation to the bank during its investigations.

    How to Enable/Disable Auto Debit & Standing Instructions

    Through Online Banking

    Register for BOC’s personal online banking facility and complete the steps below by logging into your account:

    • Go to ‘Bill Payment’ and then opt for ‘Bill Payee Management’.
    • Select the billing organisation you intend to add and the respective bill reference number.
    • You can either opt for an immediate payment or schedule your payment for a future date.
    • Input the amount that needs to be auto-debited from your account.
    • The bank will need 2 to 3 working days to process your payment request.

    For disabling this facility, go to ‘Scheduled Bill Management’ and edit or cancel the set date according to your preference.

    How to Apply for the Card & Check the Application Status

    Download, Fill & Submit Form and Follow Up With the Bank

    • Download the credit card application form from the bank’s official website.
    • Complete the form with the required information and send in your mandatory documents using the business reply envelope.
    • Alternatively, submit your form and documents via fax or by visiting any of the nearest BOC bank branches.

    Call BOC 24/7 hotline to know the status of your credit card application. Generally, it takes around 2 weeks to process a new application.

    Your monthly minimum payment will be 3% of your outstanding balance amount, subject to a minimum of S$50. Any amount in excess of your predefined credit limit and minimum payment dues from past billing cycles will also be added.

    Call the BOC 24/7 customer service hotline number and follow the instructions accordingly to block or unblock your card.

    How to Reset the PIN?

    Telebanking/Online Banking/BOC ATMs

    • Reset your PIN through telebanking services. Register for telebanking services by calling the BOC hotline number.
    • Use online banking services to reset PIN.
    • Visit your nearest BOC ATM to reset PIN.

    What Is the Billing Cycle and the Bill Due Date?

    1 Month

    You will receive your credit card bill on a monthly basis. The billing period between two continuous statements will vary depending on the number of working days in a month.

    Your credit card statement will have a due date by which you need to either pay the minimum or the complete bill amount.

    How to Get a Replacement Card?

    Call BOC Hotline

    Is is the BOC Bank’s discretion to provide you with a replacement card if your existing card has expired. If your card is lost or stolen, you need to call the BOC hotline number to request a replacement card.

    How to Temporarily Increase the Limit of the Card

    Contact the bank for a temporary credit limit increase on your BOC card. A written request will be required in case of a permanent increase. The maximum credit limit that is offered is 2 times your monthly salary.
