    Earning Rewards

    • Get 1 bonus point for every S$1 that you spend on all eligible transactions locally.
    • Get 3 bonus points for every S$1 that you spend overseas.
    • All points earned by supplementary cardholders will be credited to the account of the principal cardholder.
    • The points credited will be rounded off to the nearest whole number.
    • You can also convert your points to KrisFlyer air miles.
    • The points earned don’t expire. However, if these points have to be used before the card account expires or is terminated.

    Redeeming your Earned Rewards

    • Points earned can be redeemed by:
      • Calling the bank’s Customer Service Hotline.
      • Faxing the redemptions form to the the bank.
    • Points can be redeemed for dining vouchers from Long Beach Seafood Restaurant, Swensen’s, Chocz, and Bengawan Solo.
    • A wide variety of lifestyle and retail vouchers from Popular Bookstore, United Square Shopping Mall, and others are also available.
    • BOC vouchers have a validity of 3 months from the date of issue.
    • Present the voucher earned, your credit card, and your NRIC/passport to the merchant for rewards processing.
    • Alternatively, the points earned can also be used for offsetting the card bill.

    Activating the card for overseas expenses

    • Yes, the magnetic stripe of your card has to be activated for overseas retail transactions.
    • Do it by calling the bank’s 24-hour Customer Service Hotline.
    • The card can be used overseas as soon as the magnetic stripe is activated.

    You’re advised to deactivate the card as soon as you return to Singapore.

    Instalment Payment Plans Available

    • Convert your big-ticket purchases into affordable monthly payments with BOC’s instalment payment plans.
    • Choose from tenures ranging from 3-months to 18-months.
    • There are 2 types of instalment plans that BOC offers:
      • BOC Purchase Instalment Plan:
        • Choose from tenures ranging from 6-months to 24-months.
        • The processing fee is 2% of the transaction amount for 6 months and increases with the length of the tenure.
        • Make a of at least S$300 to be eligible for this plan.
      • BOC Statement Instalment Plan:
        • The tenures for this plan range from 12 to 24-months.
        • A one-time processing fee of 4.5% will be charged for 12 months and 8% for 24 months.
        • Make a purchase of at least S$500 to be eligible for this facility.

    Lost/Stolen cards

    • Call BOC’s Customer Service Hotline to notify the bank immediately.
    • Alternatively, write a letter to the bank to inform it about the incident.
    • File a police report and submit a copy of the same to the bank.
    • Liability for unauthorised transactions made with your card will be limited to S$100, provided:
      • You have assisted the bank during its investigation.
      • You weren’t found to be complicit in the fraud.
      • You weren’t found to be grossly negligent.

    How to Enable/Disable Auto Debit & Standing Instructions

    Through Online Banking

    • If you have an online banking account, use your savings account and a bill reference number.
    • Log into your online banking account and add the organisation and its reference number.
    • Once the setup is complete, select either immediate payment or schedule payment.
    • The bank will take 2 to 3 business days to process your payment request.

    To disable this service, click on bill payment management and edit the set date or cancel the unprocessed payment.

    How to Apply for the Card & Check the Application Status

    The minimum instalment amount is 3% of the outstanding balance or S$50, whichever is more. For instance, if your outstanding balance is S$300, then the minimum instalment amounts to S$9 per month. But, you will have to pay S$50 as it is higher.

    What Is the Grace Period?

    The interest-free period is 23 days from the date of the statement of account.

    How to Block or Unblock the Card?

    Call Customer Service Hotline

    To block, you must call the bank customer service hotline immediately and request to block the credit card. To unblock, you can follow the same procedure.

    How to Reset the PIN?

    Through Tele-Banking/BOC ATMs/Internet Banking

    You can reset your PIN in the following ways:

    • Apply for tele-banking services.
    • Reset PIN at BOC ATMS.
    • Through internet banking.

    What Is the Billing Cycle and the Bill Due Date?

    1 Month

    The billing cycle can either be on the same calendar month or start from the date your card was approved. The bill due date is the date by which you need to make the payment in full or in partial repayment.

    How to Temporarily Increase the Limit of the Card

    Submit your application along with income documents to request for an increase in your credit limit. The bank will assess your application and then approve. The maximum you can increase is up to 2 times your monthly salary.
