    The base rewards earning rate on this card is 1.5 miles for every S$1 you spend locally in Singapore and 3 miles for each S$1 you spend on overseas transactions. These are equal to 4.5 BOC Points and 9 BOC Points respectively. Till 31 December 2018, the bank is offering you the chance to earn miles or points at an accelerated rate. During this period, each dollar you spend on local transactions in the country will earn you 2 Miles which is equivalent to 6 BOC Points. Every S$1 spent on overseas transactions will get you 5 Miles or 15 BOC Points.

    Use Elite Miles Reward Points to Book Flight Tickets

    • There is no minimum spend criterion that you need to meet to earn points and there is no cap on the points that you earn either.
    • It is important to note, though, that your points are valid for anywhere from 6 to 18 months. So, the points that you accumulate from the date on which your card is approved, expire on 30 June of the following year. Post that, points earned expire on 30 June of each successive year.
    • You get 2 miles per S$1 on local spends until 31 December 2018. Post this, you get 1.5 miles for each S$1 you spend in Singapore.
    • The 5 miles per S$1 on overseas spends is also until 31 December 2018. From 1 January 2019 onwards, you earn 3 miles per S$1 spent overseas.
    • You can exchange your points for retail, travel, and dining vouchers. You can also convert your points to miles.
    • You need a minimum of 60,000 BOC points to convert it to 10,000 KrisFlyer miles and 36,000 points for 6,000 Asia Miles.
    • For each conversion, the bank charges a conversion fee of S$30 (excluding GST).

    Activating BOC Elite Miles Card

    Instalment Payment Plans

    You can convert your big-ticket purchases into 0% interest instalment payments for a tenure ranging from 6 months to 36 months. The minimum amount to convert a purchase into affordable instalments is S$500. If you decide to repay your instalments before the completion of its tenure, you will be charged an early repayment fee of S$150.

    Lost or Stolen

    If you realise that your card is missing or has been stolen, call BOC’s Customer Service Hotline and notify the bank immediately. You can also notify the bank about the loss of your card in writing. You may be asked to file a complaint with the police and provide the report to BOC. Once the bank is sure of the fact that you are not responsible for the loss of your card, it will not hold you personally liable for any transactions that have been charged to your card after its loss. Your liability for any unauthorised transactions will extend to only S$100.

    You can enable standing instructions on your credit card via online banking. All you need to do is add the organisation to which you want to make a payment.
