    Earning Rewards

    Things to know are:

    • All KrisFlyer Miles earned with this card are credited directly to your KrisFlyer account.
    • You don’t have to pay any registration fee or conversion fee.
    • The miles are deposited in your account in blocks of S$10 spent every month, and not for every dollar you spend. So, if you spend S$3,201 in a particular month, miles will be calculated for S$3,200 only.
    • KrisFlyer miles can be redeemed directly for flights on Singapore Airlines or SilkAir.

    Activating the Card for Overseas Expenses

    Yes. Since some of the overseas merchants may not have EMV (Europay, Mastercard and Visa) terminals, it’s best to get the magnetic stripe on your card activated before you start your trip.

    The magnetic stripe – a magnetic tape that is attached to the back side of your card – comes as deactivated for security purposes.

    You can activate this stripe through one of the following modes:

    Instalment Payment Plans Available

    Things to know are:

    • Purchases through your card can be converted into interest-free monthly instalments under the Pay Small plan.
    • Tenures available are 6, 12, 18, or 24 months.
    • Eligible purchase must be worth at least S$250.
    • 0% interest applies only when you pay your account balance in full every month.
    • Transaction size shouldn’t exceed your available credit limit.
    • Account must be in good standing.
    • No rewards are awarded for transactions made in relation to this plan.

    Cash Withdrawal on the Credit Card

    You can:

    • Withdraw cash through participating ATM locations throughout the world under Amex’s Express Cash service.

    Lost/Stolen Cards

    In case your card is lost or stolen, you must:

    • Report the same to Amex immediately through the hotline number.
    • File a police report, if necessary and provide a copy of the same to the bank.
    • Help the bank’s independent investigation in every way possible.

    Your liability for unauthorised transactions will be limited to S$100, provided:

    • You have not been complicit in the fraud.
    • You have not acted in gross negligence in your handling of the card.
    • You have reported the incident to the bank within a reasonable period from the time of detection of the security breach.
