Activating the Card for Overseas Expenses
The magnetic stripe of your American Express CapitaCard has to be activated for overseas retail transactions. This is because many merchants in other countries still don’t have EMV chip-supported terminals. The stripe is in an inactive state to ensure the security of your card.
The magnetic stripe can be activate in either of the two ways:
Notify the bank immediately if you lose your card or your PIN is compromised.
Provide police reports in case of stolen cards, if asked for, and any other supporting documents that prove your innocence to the bank.
Your liability for unauthorised or fraudulent use of your card will be limited to S$100, provided:
You have informed the bank about any suspicious use of your card.
You have cooperated with the bank throughout its investigations.
It has been established that you were not complicit in the fraud.
It has been established that you were not grossly negligent while using your card.

How Much Is the Minimum Payment to Be Made on the Card?
3% of Outstanding Balance or Min S$50
The minimum payment is 3% of the balance due, along with any late charges, any sum exceeding the credit limit, and the cumulative sum of any minimum payment that has remained overdue. This is subject to a minimum fee of S$50.
What Is the Grace Period?
You have to make repayments within an interest-free period of 22 days, starting from the date you receive the account statement.

This card allows you to make payments using Apple Pay.
Can It Be Used With EZ-Link?
You can't use this credit card for EZ-Link payments and top-ups.
How to Block or Unblock the Card
You must block your card immediately in case it is lost or stolen, or you notice an unauthorised usage. This can be done by getting in touch with the bank through the dedicated hotline number, or by mailing a request to the bank, asking them to block your card. How to Get a Replacement Card?
If your credit card is lost or stolen you can contact the bank, requesting them to issue you with a replacement for your card.In such cases, the renewal fee associated with the replacement will be billed directly to your account. In case there’s an emergency for a replacement, the emergency card issued will not have a CHIP and PIN, instead they will come with the magnetic stripe and requires your signature to authorise transactions. However, the bank will automatically send you the permanent CHIP and PIN within 14 days.
How to Temporarily Increase the Limit of the Card?
This card allows you to temporarily increase the credit limit available. However, the bank will allow for this increase only if you have been a cardholder for at least 6 months, and such a request is approved under special circumstances.
