If you have American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards, you can make use of it not only for booking flight tickets, but you can also use the card to pay for your Grab rides and earn additional miles. With American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Credit Card, you will earn 3.1 KrisFlyer miles for every dollar you spend on Grab rides in Singapore. With American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend Credit Card, you will earn 3.2 KrisFlyer miles for every dollar spent on Grab transactions in Singapore. With American Express Singapore Airlines Solitaire PPS Credit Card, and the American Express Singapore Airlines PPS Club Credit Card, earn 3.3 KrisFlyer miles for each dollar spent on Grab transactions in Singapore. However, you will earn miles at the rates mentioned above for up to a maximum of S$200 spent in each calendar month. The rewards are given as part of the Maybank Horizon Visa Signature Card Accelerated TREATS Points Programme. You will earn 8x TREATS Points when you pay for your Grab rides in Singapore. The transactions have to be carried out in Singapore dollars to the card. However, before you apply for this card, you must go through the terms and conditions associated with the card with respect to the rewards offered.
Grab has established a partnership with Standard Chartered credit cards and as part of this partnership, you will get a cashback of up to 15% when pay for your Grab rides using the card both in Singapore as well as abroad. However, this is a limited period promotional offer and will be applicable only until 31 December 2018. The cashback is also capped at $30/month per cardholder. In addition to the cashback offer mentioned above, all new Grab users will get a discount of S$5 on each ride for your first five rides when you use the Grab mobile application to book your cab. To make use of this offer, you will have to first register your card on the Grab mobile application after which you will have to enter the promo code ‘WELCOMESCB’ every time you book a cab. This offer is also applicable only until 31 December 2018.
The UOB YOLO Card offers a cashback of 8% on Grab rides on weekends and a cashback of 3% on weekdays both in Singapore as well as when you are abroad. You will enjoy an additional 10% bonus cashback when you book a Grab ride online and spend at least S$600 per qualifying period. However, this offer is limited to the first 2,000 existing UOB YOLO cardmembers who fulfil the minimum spend requirement. The bonus cashback that you get comes with a cap of S$20 per qualifying period. The additional bonus cashback will be applicable only until 31 December 2018. In addition to this, if you apply for a supplementary card, you will be eligible for Grab credits worth S$20. This offer is also available only until 31 December 2018. Like other promotional deals, there are a few terms and conditions associated with this deal as well. Some of these terms are as follows:
- This offer is applicable only to the first 200 principal cardholders whose supplementary cardholder charges a minimum of S$200 in eligible transactions to the supplementary card within 30 days from the date of issue. If you fulfil these conditions, you will get promo codes worth S$20 each.
- You will get the promo code via text message on your registered mobile phone number with the bank by 31 March 2019.
- You must use the promo codes across four Grab rides at a maximum of S$5 per ride.
With the Citi Cash Back Card, you will get an 8% cashback on all your Grab rides throughout the world. However, to get this cashback, you will have to accrue retail purchases worth S$888 or more in a statement month. The 8% cashback includes 0.25% on retail purchases and an extra cashback of 7.75% on Grab rides. The 8% cashback is also applicable on GrabPay wallet top-ups. Also, the cashback is capped at S$25 per category per statement month. This is a promotional offer and will be eligible only until 31 December 2018.
