• Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Phone Banking, Citi Mobile App, Rewards Redemptions through Citibank Online, online transactions that require an OTP (One Time Password) from Citibank, FAST online payments and transfers, 2 Way SMS Banking, Citibank credit card registrations, all Citibank Debit MasterCard transactions, registrations for Citibank Debit MasterCard for Citi Pay/Samsung Pay will be unavailable between 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (Singapore Time).
The scheduled maintenance will help Citibank serve its customer better.

Citi Paragon World MasterCard and Citi Paragon Platinum MasterCard have been discontinued by Citibank. Respective supplementary credit cards have also been discontinued. You will not be able to use the aforementioned Citibank credit cards at POS terminals. Any pending loan instalments on the respective cards will be charged until the instalment tenure elapses.
The existing Citi Paragon Credit Cards will be replaced with the Citi Rewards World MasterCard and will bear the same credit card number, will be charged the same fees and have the same credit limit as your Citi Paragon Card. However, this offer is only applicable to customers who do not currently hold a Citi Ultima Card, Rewards Card or Prestige Card. Citi Paragon cardholders owning any of the above-mentioned Citi credit cards will not receive the Citi Rewards Card.

Citi has introduced Citi Pay, its digital mobile wallet feature, in Singapore. This system enables its credit cardholders to pay for goods and services with their mobile phones. Vikas Kumar, the head of cards and personal loans of Citibank Singapore, said the bank has launched this feature to help consumers pay their bills easily by just tapping their Android phones.
A Citi credit cardholder can utilise this tool by installing the app and logging in to the app with his or her Citibank user ID and password. Customers can pay for their requirements by using the banking app at any sales terminal that is enabled with Near Field Communication (NFC). In addition to Singapore, Citi Pay can soon be enjoyed by customers in Australia and Mexico sometime this month.

Citigroup Inc, the fourth largest bank in the US by way of its asset holdings, surpassed profit expectations for the third quarter after its trading revenue grew by a whopping 35 percent. The mostly unforeseen surge comes as a much needed reward to CEO Michael Corbat’s efforts who laid emphasis on the bank’s trading business while downsizing a large section of its consumer banking operations in markets overseas. The Consumer Banking division did not quite post a healthy performance with its net income witnessing an almost 25 percent drop. Rivals JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs also posted gains in trading.

Starting from September, 2016, Citi credit cardholders will be able to pay for their Grab rides in Singapore and the Philippines. The service will encourage cashless payment for a seamless ride experience. Citibank Singapore CEO Han Kwee Juan said that new customer can sign up for Citi card through the Grab app and the existing customers can enjoy discounted or free rides. Customers can also use points to pay for the Grab rides.

Five different banks in Singapore have already announced about their debit and credit card compatibility with the Apple Pay technology. However, Citibank Singapore has decide to swim against the tide. The bank was not yet announced anything about its Apple Pay supported cards. It is focussed more on the m-wallet technology on the Android platform now.
At present, Citibank is running beta tests with Samsung Pay on eligible smartphones. The digital wallet from Samsung will be live in Singapore sometime later this year. According to Peng Chun-Hsien, the head of emerging payments and merchant acquiring for Citibank Singapore, the versatility of Samsung Pay will ensure that the transactions are made at more retail points when compared to Apple Pay. Samsung Pay transactions can take place at both NFC and swipe terminals. Magnetic Secure Transmission or MST makes the transactions secure on Samsung Pay.
Identification through voice is also a key feature on which Citibank is focussing. They hope that this will improve the user experience for its phone banking customers.

Citibank Singapore is expecting its mobile banking to drive the bankâ€™s digital strategy. A top executive from the bank has confirmed that over 70% of its customers use online banking services.
The digital services introduced by the bank aim to ease the moments of irritation its customers face by providing online facilities which will enable them to check their account balance and apply for credit cards among other things, according to the Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore branch, Han Kwee Juan.
He further reiterated that everything that the bank will build will focus on ensuring that it is compatible with mobile banking as a way of increasing their digital savviness among its customers.
Citi will also launch Citi Pay shortly which is the bankâ€™s digital wallet for Android smartphones in Singapore. The decision for Apple Pay to be introduced to Citi users is still being evaluated by the bank.
