Citibank Singapore can trace its roots in well over a century ago. First established in 1902 in Singapore was among the first foreign banks to start operations in Singapore. But it’s not like they were offering credit cards back then. What started off as a venture in trading rubber soon blossomed into one of the best consumer banking players on the market? Since 1982, Citibank has been offering a range of products and services catering to consumer banking and banking for small scale businesses.

    Citibank Credit Card

The credit cards from Citibank are a sought after product and this is not just in Singapore, but all over the globe. These cards are widely accepted and can be a great travel companion. The cards come offering a range of perks and benefits all targeting specific consumer bases. The joining benefits provided by the Citibank cards are more practical. Except for one card that offers a Tablet or a dining membership program, almost every other card in the roster provides something much more practical and useful than just ordinary luggage. Most Citibank Credit Cards provide a cashback of S$120 as a joining benefit.

Citibank credit cards have varying annual fees depending on the type of credit card chosen but there are the more affordable ones for those looking for a basic card. The Citibank Clear Card and Purchasing Card come with annual fees under S$30. The credit cards can be broadly divided into travel cards, dining, cashback, student cards, and business cards.

Citibank offers customers a host of credit card options across 5 categories with tempting privileges, offers, discounts and rewards. Ranging from exciting joining perks to promotions that run all year long, Citibank offers more than just a product, it offers an experience.

    Features & Benefits

All Citibank credit cards give you access to some great features and benefits. Let’s take a look at them in detail:

    • Variety of credit cards: Citibank has a credit card for every Singaporean. Whether you need miles, rewards or cashback, you can find a card in the Citibank portfolio that suits you.
    • Several ways to redeem rewards: There are many options through which you can redeem your Citi Rewards Points. You can exchange them for miles and book your travel, change them for vouchers or products through the Citi ThankYou Rewards programme, or redeem them for instant rewards, payments through points or get cash rebates.

In addition, you also get petrol discounts of up to 20.88% if you have the right Citi credit card.
    • Easy utility bill payments: Whether you need to pay your town council bills or telecom bills, water bills or electricity bills, all you need to do is to link your bills to your Citi credit card. Under the Citibank One Bill plan, your bill payments will become automatic and you won’t have to bother about due dates and delayed or missed payments ever. The bank does not even charge you a service fee for this plan.
    • Citibank Motor Pay: Want to keep track of your ERP payments? Pay the Electronic Road Pricing using your Citibank card and track them easily.
    • 0% instalment payment plan: If you are making a large purchase and don’t think you could pay the full credit card bill in a particular month, convert the purchase into Equal Payment Plan, and enjoy 0% interest and easy instalment payments. You can get up to 2 years to pay for your big-ticket buys.
    • Balance transfer option: If you already have another bank’s credit card but want a Citibank card, you don’t have to burden yourself with an extra card. You can go for the balance transfer option, under which you can move the pending dues from the old credit card to a brand new Citibank credit card. The interest rate is very low and you will get up to 1 year to repay the dues from the previous card.
    • Emergency cash option: All Citibank credit cards allow you to make emergency cash withdrawals through any ATM in Singapore or abroad. However, mind that a cash advance fee of 6% and an interest rate of 26.9% p.a. from the day of withdrawal applies.
