FWD Car Insurance

Like in most countries around the world, when you purchase a car, you must mandatorily insure it in Singapore. Finding the right car insurance for your vehicle can be quite tricky as most dealers keep throwing around terms like no-claim bonus and co-insurance. There are many companies that provide coverage for your car.

FWD is one of the many car insurers in Singapore. It provides customisable and comprehensive plans that include the best repair warranty, lifetime No Claim Discount guarantee, and complete family protection.

Types of car insurance provided by FWD

The insurer offers mainly two types of protection for your car:

  • Comprehensive car insurance

  • FWD’s comprehensive plan includes three different policies, all of which cover third-party damages, vehicle repairs, roadside assistance and medical. You can tailor any of these policies to suit your budget and needs. As long as you continue using this policy, you will get up to 50% discount on your premiums if you have not claimed for any damages in the year before.

You will get the best service when it comes to repairs at FWD premium workshops until your car is 10 years old. In addition, if you let someone else drive your car, the company will provide coverage to them. In a car accident, if both parents die or become permanently disabled, the insurer will provide a one-time payment of up to S$500,000 to all their living children.

  • Third party/Third party, fire and theft

  • If you think that you do not require comprehensive coverage for your car, you can opt for FWD’s third party/third party, fire and theft plans. This plan is not only affordable, but also customisable. This plan also includes round-the-clock roadside assistance.

You will also be covered if you are driving outside Singapore (parts of Thailand and West Malaysia). Moreover, if you let anybody else drive your car, the company will also provide coverage to them.
