    The plan comes with excess waiver and No Claim Discount protector. You cannot purchase this value-added pack online.

    • Family Protector

    • Overseas Protector

    Exclusions

    With AXA car insurance, you will not get any coverage under the following circumstances:

    • When your car is used for a purpose other than what is mentioned in the policy.
    • When your car is driven by a person who is not authorised to drive your car.
    • When your car is not registered as per the Road Traffic Act 1985 or when its registration is cancelled.
    • When your car or some of its accessories are stolen as a result of lack of proper care.
    • You have taken responsibility for something through an agreement which would not have existed otherwise.
    • If you or any person driving the car is found driving under the influence of alcohol, suspended from driving the car or does not have a proper driving license.
    • Any damage to the car caused as a result of an act of a foreign enemy, war, invasion, riots, demonstrations and more.

    How to make a claim?

    If you want to file a claim for your AXA car insurance, you will have to take the following steps:

    1. If you want to have your claim processed faster, submit your claims form online or download the editable PDF form.
    2. If you are submitting a paper claim, submit it along with the necessary supporting documents to AXA directly or through an insurance consultant.
    3. A claims specialist from AXA will review and assess your claims form.
    4. If everything is alright with your claim, the settlement amount will be paid to you.

    AXA car insurance renewal

    You can renew your AXA car insurance by getting in touch with AXA on their customer service hotline at 1800 880 4888, by visiting AXA’s Customer Service Center (AXA Tower, 8 Shenton Way - B1) or by email. You can also renew your car insurance by getting in touch with your broker or agent. You will also get a reminder from AXA before your policy expires with a link to renew it, if you have given AXA your email address when signing up for the policy.

    How to cancel AXA car insurance?

    If you no longer want to continue using your AXA car insurance, you can cancel it by calling the customer hotline number. Otherwise, you can send AXA an email with all the policy details. AXA will get back to you and proceed with canceling your policy. Once your policy is cancelled, you will get a cheque by post with your refund sum.

    Q. Will I get coverage if I am involved in an accident outside Singapore?

    A. Yes, you will get coverage outside Singapore in the following regions:

    • West Malaysia.
    • Direct sea route across the straits between Singapore, Changi Point and Johor, Tanjong Belungkor and Peninsular Thailand.
    • Transit by direct sea route across the straits between West Malaysia and Penang.

    Q. Does the No Claim Discount apply to my vehicle or to me?

    A. The No Claim Discount is associated with you and not your car. So, if you sell your old car the No Claim Discount will continue to be with you. If you purchase a new car, the same NCD will be valid on your new car.

    Q. Whom should I get in touch with if I need towing services?

    A. If you are in Singapore, you can call 1800 880 4888. If you are overseas, you can call +65 6322-2566. You can also get in touch with AXA’s premium workshops directly.

    Q. What is an Own Damage claim?

    A. A claim that you make under your own policy is known as Own Damage claim. If you have made an Own Damage claim, you will have to pay the normal excess mentioned in your insurance policy document. Your No Claim Discount may get affected under such circumstances.

    Q. If I am involved in an accident overseas, but need medical treatment once I am back, will I get coverage?

    A. Yes, you will get coverage if the accident took place in the policy coverage area. But, this benefit is not valid for people holding an Essential Plan.
